No matter how big it is, it's never big enough.
Please, no "That's what she said" jokes.
OK, commence with the jokes.
Great looking bench BTW.

So I molded the lip with a 1"x2" lumber all around to protect the edge of the plywood.

Good looking bench there Alan. You need to make sure your miter saw is calibrated in order to get a nice 45 degree cut, so that the corners all line up. None of the off-the-shelf miter saws are 100% square without some tweaking.
Sand off the edges and put a couple coats of finish it's ready to go. Nice work  :smt001

That would make a great Ab pounding table, Allan.

I would get a nice butcher block hardwood top for it.  Lumber Liqudators has a top, am looking at for the front bedroom office.

Even with a calibrated saw, it's oftentimes difficult to get matching board lengths.

Wow, love it ! That turned out sharp. I made a really similarly configured, much more rustic workbench (intended to be a potting bench) a few months ago out of old reclaimed barnwood. Nice work, that really came out great. Ha, now there's no more excuse for disassembling a reel on the dining room table though !

Bench gonna be inside the garage.  Measured it and it will fit through the door.
