Let's go Giants!

I've never been.  Where is the launch, where to park?  What kind of lights are needed for operating at night?  What kind of beer should I bring?

Very short paddle:

You can also launch at Pier 50.  It may be hectic where you pin is dropped.  On the same street, just a little south of that point.  It's about a 10 minute paddle.

I don't want to pay $100 for parking. Does that change the launch considerations?

Avoid the rush and foot traffic of china basin/ King st area by parking at TI?  Jump the seawall and paddle over.  Clean insertion/haulout rather than having to maul ppl sitting on the jetty and streets.

I was just wondering if the Coast Guard was going to place limits on the number of boats/kayaks/etc in "The Cove" like they did during the All Star Games? Called City Kayaks (they rent the ones near the park) and they had not heard of any restrictions as of yet. Thinking of going Sat or Sun. GO GIGANTES !!! A couple years ago I parked about a quarter mile from the cove and launched at the Yacht Club...they have a small ramp just east of the big grey ships outside the cove. Locked my Wheeleze under the pier. My biggest concern is what will happen to my truck during the game...

Which day?  I have an "over the rail" boat bbq that will fit in my rod holder.....sausages and chicken wings...maybe corn on the cob. Maybe even up the game with a couple racks of lamb.....

I would be leaving the cove before dark .....

Saturday Allen.We will be parking around 7th and channel or Hopper st.(kinda ghetto)we will wheel our kayaks to the canal and and launch at pier.See you there.
