Well Sunday was a great day to be on the water. The west swell was up, making the launch on the Sonoma Coast a little more fun. Started out by trolling for Salmon but quickly became frustrated with the Black Rockfish stealing all my bait. The groundfish bite was slow at first but picked up around 11:30 when the ocean and wind laid down. Caught a bunch of Lingcod (most released) kept a 27"er and a 25"er that was gill hooked. Also kept a few Blacks for the fryer and a fat Cabby that measured 21.5 inches, BK (Before Kiet) that was a good sized Cabezon.

Kiet's cab was actually a toothless blue lingcod - I have the original pics...   :smt004

Nice going, Ruben.  That hotrod of a kayak always looks good in a pic - all the better with a nice stringer.   :smt001
