Hello from half moon bay

Hello. I am a new kayak angler. I have mostly been doing shore based fishing for rockfish, eels, and crabs with my poke pole.

I built a native american style tule boat, and I hope to fish from it. I hope it is strong enough to take out on the open ocean I would like to try. I will soon purchase a real ocean kayak.

Welcome to NCKA.  I would love to see a picture of your tule boat and hear how it was constructed.   

That sounds really cool!  Please post some pictures of it!  Like going back to the days of the Ohlone Indians!
