I knew Elric from Pierfishing.com. He E-mailed me about the Norcalkayakanglers group he had. I used to check that out every once in awhile. Then one day I think he told me that his site was shutting down and that this one was opening.

I think I originally found kayak4fish and Elric's yahoo group about the same time in early 2004.  When Elric's site was shutting down I saw his notice of this new site.

I found out about it from Sean's GWKC site when I bought my Malibu's from him this past summer.  Awesome site!  Still using the yaks mostly for family paddling in the San Rafael Canal and around Loch Lomond with a couple of nice Stripers to show for it.  Launched from Stinson a couple of times this summer (with 2 rollover landings) and did a couple of quick drifts for Halibut without success.  Hooked up with the "A Team" of Mooch, Chuck, Steve S. (who I didn't get to actually meet but organized the hook-up) and a couple of others once for Stripers at the Brickyard (the day Chuck caught 60 something!!) but only had about an hour or so before family duties called.  I'm living vicariously through you guys for now but hope to join in more serious outings soon!  Keep it up!

Andy

It was ten or so years ago today, that Sargent Pepper told his band to play... :smt006
I heard about NCKA in a vision quest.  :smt008

Mooch brought me in, after one of the Kayak Connection derbies, back in the day when he was still Hana Paa, 2005.
I think it was the same day he commissioned the sunset art piece for Bill. I had donated a small piece of plank art with a halibut on it to the event, and that caught Mooch's eye.
