The write up is not great; the video sucks; and it sure seems like he's asking for a crap load of money for the intentions....But the concept seems pretty cool.

Apparently no one else thought it was great as they only pulled in $1798 Canadian towards their goal of $50,000.
Project was cancelled.
I think I would have liked to try it though

  My first thought was next time I thread plastic worm try to thread it on so it'l spin as the one in the that link.  Can't be that hard.

Looked great in the water. I think I would do a silver nail polish with a metallic blue stripe. I think I'm gonna go grab a dowel now...

If you could come up with a prototype it would be a great 3D printer project.

I thought 3d printing still really expensive. End up being 75.00 zworm? 

meh.  There are lots of baits that have similar motion, but are less prone to line twists and/or allow modification of the rate of rotation. I don't think this bait is in any way innovative.
