I'm working on this event with a group called 209 Anglers. They are mostly bank anglers, although several of them have no gone to kayaks. We are hoping to spread the stoke about kayak fishing, and give people a reason to come together and fish. This is what I put out to the 209 Anglers. I would love to have a bunch of us from NCKA there to show what kayak fishing is all about, and hopefully make new kayak fishing converts. Here are the details that I posted to the 209 Fishing groups page.

"We are hosting a Fish n Chill at Lodi Lake Park. The idea is to get bank anglers and kayak anglers together, and check out a new spot. My shop, The Headwaters, will have our boat house open and will be offering fishing kayak demos for those who want to give fishing from a kayak a shot. We plan on doing a BBQ/ Potluck around 1:00PM so bring something to share. Fish N Chill will start at 9:00AM. Come on out and bring your family. There is good kayak, and bank fishing in the area, along with walking trails, parks for the kids, and lots of areas to potluck and BBQ. Look forward to seeing everyone there."

I get that. I'm just hoping some of the more local guys could show up and hang.

Looks like I'll be able to make this, my wife is leaving on the 1st to visit her father in Idaho and I drop her at the airport by 6am.  I guess I can arrive early and get started.  Ha!

Looking forward to fishing this area.  I've been there on a HOW event, but never got the chance to get on the water.

If the ocean is rough, I'll be there. If the ocean is calm, I hope to be back by 1 with limits!

If it was on Sunday I could make it, but the annual Striperfest charity event is on the 1st.  It raises money to help fight to save the delta.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

With the rough ocean forecast, I'll be out for sure. How many people will be out fishing, launching from the boat house area? I might fish out of Wimpy's chasing salmon and then head over for the BBQ.
