Great White off Fort Bragg

On Wednesday (9/17) several of my friends were chased out of the water by a GWS at Virgin Creek, a popular surfing site on the north side of Fort Bragg.  Coincidentally, I was surfing a few miles up the coast from there at Chadbourne Gulch (Blues Beach) on the same day.

It's not as interesting as arguing about Annie's Mac and Cheese, but I just thought I'd let folks know--like anyone looking to dive around there.

GWS . . . the reason I'll stay above the surface on the north coast.

  Hahaha, sometimes I think about suggesting a name change to the site when tangents erupt, but keep it to myself . . . thanks for the Landlord news.

Thanks for the info.  Orcas are also back feeding the same area.  My wife feels the need to tell me that before I go diving.

Good thing there are no sharks in Monterey County where I will be diving tomorrow...oh wait....never mind.

I think they're starting to think about moving offshore to that area between CA and Hawaii that they go to in winter, but right now the water is real warm, the sea lions are back, and there's ton's of sharky food around (including old surfers like me).  So if I were thinking about migrating offshore, I'd want to stock up before the trip.  Pick off some slow surfers or something.

It's refreshing to see someone posting relevant information here I wish people would let that post die the miserable death that it should have died a long time ago
I love a little landlord anxiety OTW but it's all about the freshwater striper action for me this weekend
