Feather River Report-Salmon Fear Me!

Got skunked again.  I talked to a little boat with 3 fisherman who had two "small ones" about 8-10lbs.  They were chrome and beautiful.  They said the fishing had been really slow and a guide that they talked to that morning also had nothing.  I saw a bunch of fish rolling right around where I was fishing, and I worked the area thoroughly, but no love for me.  I quit when the wind kicked up later in the morning, making fishing difficult.  I think I scare the salmon off or something.  Damn, I am frustrated!

Travis they must smell the saltwater on you

For all that driving why don't you try Marin coast instead? I can't believe nobody's even trying the saltwater

  The feather river is a 20 minute drive for me vs. a 3 hour drive to the marin coast.
