When using a banana weight trolling for salmon how do you attach the weight to the main line?

Normally they use a deep six or double deep six. They use banana weights with circle hooks for mooching

With a swivel attached to the mainline. If you are going to mooch never use a banana weight at all. Try a sliding sinker so the fishes mouth doesn't work against the weight when thrashing.

And another swivel at the other end ahead of a flasher or dodger?

I only use bananas with straight chovie or herring, no flasher/dodger but yes, swivel on both sides of the banana. Use a ball bearing snap swivel for best results and ease of changing out rigging.

 For a touchy bite....
Put one of those red plastic sinker sliders on your main line then tie on a snap swivel. You can switch sinkers and leaders at will.
