I have been surf- and shore-fishing for years, but I am relatively new to kayak fishing.  After my first few kayak outings (to Fort Ross), it's going to be hard for me to justify going back to the surf.  Looking forward to exchanging/getting some good information from the available forums.

I'd recommend the Santa Cruz harbor. The "A dock" next to Aldo's works well. You need to pay $5 to launch and another $5 if you want to park in the lot. If you park along the street, you can avoid the parking fee.
There's always money in the banana stand.
