Just some video of water conditions and fish life at the 2014 Triton X Spearfishing competition. My camera broke off the mount during the event and apparently had some water intrusion and no longer works.

I did not get all the kill shots because of the broken camera.  I wonder if the warranty will replace it.  I did post my take at the end of the video.  I could have shot keeper lings today, but they had to be 30" to qualify for entry and I did not see any that big.

Unfortunately I did not take any blacks, blues or perch when they were plentiful at the beginning of the dive. This was my first ever competition and did not understand that you could pick a prize based on overall fish and not just for the top winners.  So I finished in the top 30% or so but wish I would have grabbed two more species for check in.  Lesson learned. I did get a new dive belt as my prize and a good lunch and shirt.  So I got back the entry fee and then some.

Great day on the water (and in it).

My entry Abalone was 9.554 and the winner was over 11.  Some day.

Duane how do you have your camera mounted?

I made a custom mount with aluminum and attached to gun. Very solid and not the issue. I stripped the threads on the camera and then used epoxy to attach new metal threads, but it keeps breaking. It's not a go pro so maybe I will have to change camera types to make it work better.  Not to much of an issue now that it's broken so if they replace it I will have new threads to work with.

I was just asking because I just got a Go Pro and was looking for ways to attach it to my gun.

Great tourney:  Good conditions.  I was expert on maiming fish loosing a nice ling and cabby to the flopper and dinged a red.  Even lost my black off the stringer.  Still came away with a new mask.  Seen IC Chuck walk away with a new speargun.  Maybe he'll put that on classified as he's a polespear professional.
Everybody wins at this event.  Even people with no scores.
I'm definitely having issues with the flopper on lings and cabbys.  Going to install double floppers on my 70 and 90
