Hello all. I'm John, and fairly recently moved to Nor Cal from Indiana. I've always been into any type of fishing, but this area is new to me. A big difference from the Midwest. Just bought boats, and ready to rip some lip. Did a guided sturgeon trip in Rio Vista earlier this year, and looking forward to more. Trout and salmon are new to me, but love the learning experience. Thanks for the acceptance of my registration. I look forward to learning from people here and hope to wet some lines with everyone.

Forgot to add that I am originally from So Cal, and had always missed the Pacific ocean after moving to Indiana as a child. I'm looking forward to getting the boats out in some saltwater. Also looking to working on some fly fishing experience. Never found many fly fishermen in Indy.

Welcome! I grew up in the Midwest too.  Love the walleye and northern fishing!  Miss ice fishing the most!  Fell in love with yak fishing on the salt...although it was a little intimidating at first.  Learned a lot from trial and error, fellow fisherman, and NCKA.  See ya otw.

Another midwesterner here too. I grew up in Iowa, mostly fishing small lakes and farm ponds, with the occasional walleye/northern fishing trip to Minnesota.

The saltwater is a blast, but be sure to get all of the safety gear and practice self-rescue.

There's always money in the banana stand.

Never had the chance for any walleye or northerns. I did a lot of bass and catfish fishing, and some bow fishing. I've also fished in the keys and love tarpon fishing. My mom's second husband took my trout fishing at a stocked lake and was fun, but we passed before we could go back for more.
