Any advice on the GT90 vs. the GT175?

Gt90 is med duty, GT175 is heavy duty. If you have the room I'd go for the 175's, they are a bit lower profile too.

Have you installed the GT175 on a Revo 13?

Yea I did a few with 8" GT175s on each side by the foot wells. It fits with only one screw floating. I still glued the screw in to make it look right. Customer wanted to use a down rigger mounted to the track. With that much drag we decided to go with the 175's. I'm Sure a set of GT90's with backer plates would have worked but they wanted heavy duty.

The GT90 and GT175 have the same inside profile so they can be used by the same accessories. The GT90 is 0.375" high and 0.875" wide. The 1.75" wide GT175 base can be a problem on some kayaks, like the Hobie's side rails for example, which is where the GT90, which is half as wide, works better.

They are equal in strength though the GT175 has more surface area and would be better for a kayak that has a weak top deck construction to better spread the load. The backing plates will help in this regard.

I believe I used the GT90 on my Hobie AI.  Narrower.  I backed it with SST Fender Washers & limit my load to just a fishfinder and not a longer moment arm such as a fishing rod.  I'd go with the wider ones if you have the space & back them to distribute the load if your plan is to mount a rod holder on them, for example.

Here's a set of 4" GT175's I did on DrDave's revo last year. Like I said I've put 8" and 12" ones on others. The only issue is if you have big feet and use the foot wells. The tracks hang over the inside a bit on the longer ones.
