On the water at 8:30, easy launch, lotsa tourists, trolled an apex for a good 2 hrs - nada, no FF yet- its on the way. Saw a PB close to the rocks north of Muir, so I paddled over for a few drifts and 4 decent RF and a hard fighting underling. Should have brought the drift-chute, next time.
The roll-eaze made the 1/2 mile across the sand like walkin' the dog. Good after work launch for me, I can be on the water by 4:30.
Damn, those rockies make some goooood eatin'. Ben

Nice report about the conditions and launch. I have hiked and mountain biked there (to Tennessee Valley and back) finsihing off witha quick pint at The Pelican  :beer2 but that was before my kayaking and fishing days. Despote only smalls ones, a day fishign is a good day even when the fishing not good.

Such a different vibe, aint it? The tourists at Muir are pretty cool though,
I met a few old fisherman on vac. with the family there and  they loved the yak. Talked up a storm.I told them about all the places around here like Bean and lake Mendo, sturg and sharks in the bay, salmon and rockies and stealhead and I the gears working in this one dudes head it fired him up so much."Hmmmm California..." Im trying thursday at 4 -4:30PM.
