Lowrance Link-2 DSC VHF radio issues

I am having an issue setting this radio up. Anytime I turn it on, it makes an extremely loud beeping noise. It did this on the first time it turned on, and there's nothing in the manual indicating what this is as far as I can tell.

Anyone have ideas?

It probably has something to do with setting up your DSC.  I've only played with the radio for a few minutes though.
