Hook, bonk, bleed, ice, repeat.

Easy pickins, 45' down, between the no wake buoy and the tower...never made it to the bridge, just kept looping back and was getting smacked every 5 minutes. Lots of hits that missed, swapped out the wedding ring for a two-hooked hoochie and netted 3 in a row. Fish still nice and clean, lake traffic not too bad...get 'em!

Sweet fish Ben!  I was wondering what to do around Labor Day Weekend...you've given me an idea with this report.  Were you using a downrigger?  Did the fish appear to be jig-able?

Looks like fun. It was good to meet you this morning. I didn't do as well as you did. Didn't try for Kokes, landed a couple spots early but that was it. Maybe I can tag along with a couple of you vet koke killers one of these days.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Nice kokes, Ben.  Good Times on the fast action bite - love those days.  What do they run, 11 to 13" or so?

Thanks for the W'town report.   :smt001

Hope you guys got on them yesterday!

Chris, these things are definitely 'jiggable'.  The way they are bunched up I thought about giving it a try, but was enjoying the troll/hits.  A spoon or Kastmaster tipped w/ pink corn and dropped on the schools should result in plenty of action.  Let me know if you might head out this weekend, we'll be shooting doves Monday, hitting the 'T' Saturday, which leaves Sunday open.

InService, great meeting you out there too, glad you had some luck w/ the spotties.  The kokes take a bit of practice to figure out, but once you do its a great fishery and pretty consistent year-to-year.  I'll try to get a Hookup posted before the next outing, but my green lights typically happen about 10pm the night before so it'll be late notice.  :smt001

AK, all fish were in the 13 to 14.5" range, and while certainly not as good as Humboldt pink, they grilled up awesome.  Butter/garlic/cilantro over alder chunks...yum!

Sweeeeet  :smt003.  I don't have plans for Labor Day weekend, and a bonsai run to Whiskeytown for kokes sounds fun.  Hope you can make it Sunday!  I'll do a little shopping around for what I think would be effective kokanee jigging gear.  I remember the little kokes I kept from Bucks Lake were so, so freakin' tasty  :smt007.  Would love to get some more!

Just got word the wife and child are skipping town next weekend leaving me all alone. Kokes on Sunday sounds good. Need to pick up a new kokanator jig. I just put my kayak up for sale too but I'll figure it out.
