seems like every time I get the same day off as Amy something goes wrong as far as smooth glassy fishing...usually it is 6-12 ft swells that were not well forecast or like this morning when Amy woke up with an eye swollen shut form garden work?/pink eye...waiting to see-so we skipped fishing and went to MBK where she bought her first "new" nrs womens cut farmer john and some paddle leashes and other toys....got our cars worked on...but no fishing-best laid plans and all....this picture I had posted was on a day by the hotel can in monterey when these long duration huge swells went from bad-to pretty knarly -to as high as the roof of a one story house with a huge break and drop after they went by..its hard to see in the picture but Amy is ridnng up the face of a huge swell that has blocked the sant cruz land line in the back and that is why she is watching the ocean as there were more coming in sets...like going to the roller coaster...and it happens almost every time we make plans  :smt005..poor gal...very next day shes at work and I call her from the same spots and it's glassy...go figure..another pic too of that huge day

oops forgot to sign you out

Welcome Honey

we both do ,but she does mostly

Last night we were blessed with  fresh blue ling fillets from this last Sunday -  simple- dry rolled in bread crumbs and then sprinkled with parm cheese and baked in butter
fresh  sun ripe tomatoes with basil&sage  from the garden in balsamic and olive oil
Fresh squash with herbs and veggies
and the same with spring lettuce
Topped off with  a foreign netflix movie--" I will be your son !" killer instant play....

one of those meals that drips of living in Ca. , having a garden, being able to enjoy bounty from the sea

all the ling and rock fish meals are great but this meal was over the top good
The bread crumb and bake is banging
