Weston vs. Food Saver Vacuum
I just got a 100 pack of Weston vacuum seal bags from Amazon prime. I've been looking for a viable vacuum seal bag
to replace the Food Saver brand. I think for plastic (Food Saver) is just price jacking people. Don't get me wrong...they make a good product but i'm sure i can other, cheaper, alternatives and I did!

Verdict
The quality of the bags are equal. Actually, the food save brand maybe just a bit better but
it does not account for the gross market up in price. If you enjoy price gouging than the foodsaver brand is for you. Hey, i'm for saving on a few bucks!

My conclusion
Weston bags win hands down for quality of product and low price.  Just thought that I would pass this along. 

Notice any difference in seal-ability?

If you put both brands side by side without labels, you probably couldn't tell the difference. No seal ability issues that i have noticed.

Good to know, will keep that in mind. 

I would also like ot add, check the seals on your food saver.  GF's food saver was getting worse and worse.  She called Food saver and the unit is no longer made, but the customer service rep was nice enough to send us the next closest thing for a seal.  GF made it fit, and food saver  now works like new.  So if you a realtively newer food saver, I suggest stock up on the replacement seals while you can. It can save you $$$ on having to replace a unit.

So, now that some time has passed, was wondering if the weston bags were still working out?
