Mendo 10/6...15 fish between 2 guys in about 2 hours

Met Bluefin 17 (Joe) at the SBR at around 0830 and we headed towards the island on a hot tip.  As we neared the islands Joe spied a solo bust that turned into a broad scattered boil.  A mixed bag a fish, lots of rats, a few mediums, and a couple of better grade.  We had singles, double, triples...NONSTOP action.  Then it was dead as a door nail by 1100.

Funny part of the morning was watching these nice guys in a Zodiac catch very little while we were slaying them.  They ran to get bait, only to return with a load of bait right after is shut down....bwah bwah bwahhhh.  Not a day for trophies, but super fun!

Sean. All I can say is Wow! Great fishin' and great filmin'  . I guess Mid-October is the time to be on Mendo for the Bendo . Keep 'em coming--those of us who are jealous of the bounty you have outside your door can at least get some vicarious thrill which is better than none at all  .

That was a blast!!!  Can't wait to do it again soon. "I think it's the hat", too funny as Sean has a double, the other guy in the boat has one on and a striper is towing me in between Sean's boat and their boat. Awesome.

Great video. I'm curious how you film and maintain a very viewable picture with all the motion going on. So, why is Bendo at Mendo in September when the action is in October?????????

September is normally great, but it just hasn't happened the last two years...maybe we'll move it...but it can get COLD.
