Hey Matt do you mind if an extreme noob comes along to learn a thing or two. I will need directions because I am in the Marysville area and don't know where that is. I will PM you.

I'm not a lifeguard, not an instructor either. Just taking a few new folks out to show em a few things about this stretch of river.

If you don't feel comfortable in the river I'd suggest waiting till one of the shops like Headwaters or CCK puts on a river salmon fishing class and attend that first. They will give you the 1-2s on kayaking first which I won't be out there teaching in any way.

I've fished this spot of the AR successfully for a few years and just wanna pass on some good tips and pointers to folks.

Also anyone attending who fly fishes bring a fly rod. Lotta stripers in the system.

and bino's for the beach section around the pump station!! 

Anyone who doesn't know the launch site, it's off HWY 50 Howe Avenue.
Take first right on LaRiviera, will go straight thru the light into the park.
Costs 8 bucks to park and launch. I'll be there around 520 in my Camry with a yellow yak on it.
If you get there late just launch and float downstream.
Radios on 69. Cell will be on also if you have any questions or get lost or in a pickle.

Tony- Where do you plan on fishing this weekend? I was planning to hit the salt but I can be easily convinced to stay around the Sac area too. Let me know bro.

What a great offer to help us newbies.  I really wish I could make it but work is once again interfering with my fishing!   

We can do it on another Saturday also to accommodate the folks that have to work.

There also should be other things like this put on by others to help.
