Made an impulse buy on some plain rods. Had some pen blanks that were not gonna be turned into pens so here they are. Koa, paduk and maple. Get your bushcraft on!

thats cool.I carry a wind water proof lighter.I would like to try and start a fire with one of those

Its fun. Just used one tonight to light a little fire for the kids to roast marshmallows....dryer lint makes great tinder. Its almost cheating[emoji1]

Excellent looking ferro rods. I try not to use lighters for fires anymore. Moving from lighter to ferro rod to bow drill teaches you a lot about starting a good fire in the bush.
