Newbie from Richmond

Hello all! Jeff here, from Richmond. I've been kayaking for a couple of years now and am eager to get & do some kayak fishing. My kayak buddy is a free diver, and we're heading up to Fort Bragg for a couple of days next week to do some exploring. I've padded the sea caves there at Van Damme & am wondering what the fishing prospects are like in that area.

Any suggestions on spots, technique, or gear for this newbie would be most welcome.

I've learned a lot reading around in various threads here, and look forward to learning more in the months (& years) to come. I really appreciate the level of expertise & generosity of spirit I see in this group.
