Just saw this on the Lowrance web site....

The NEW Elite 3x Color, Dual-Frequency Fishfinder for UNDER $100

In the wake of select B&W, small screen Lowrance units finally ending their duty, they release the new small screen, color fishfinder only for the person who doesn;t want to spend a lot but have a good, dual-frequency, compact, color unit.

Elite-3x is the most affordable color fishfinder ever announced -- featuring Broadband Sounder™, water-temperature sensor and Fish I.D.
The compact, affordable Elite-3x fishfinder features an LED-backlit color display to quickly and easily identify fish targets, bottom contours and structure -- featuring dual-frequency 83 or 200 kHz Broadband Sounder™ operation with water-temperature sensor and Fish I.D.

Appears to include the transducer with temp for under $100

Looks like they are shipping already too...  Though, the online retailers I saw them listed at (Amazon) were selling for higher than MSRP

For 100 dollars more and you can get the elite 4 w/ integrated gps.. Is it worth it? The 3x seems like a pretty good deal. Scupper mount xducer or through hull? Hmmm

The elite 4 has a much larger screen.  GPS is very helpful and worth the extra.  The transducer is transom mount which can be used as a shoot thru or scupper mount with use of lowrance scupper kit or a homemade scupper mount.
