I bought a Lamiglas X11 rod in the middle of June. I have not used this rod yet and found a defect on one of the eyes. It has clear hardener inside the eye so I called FWH to see if they had an other rod. They do so I explain the problem to them and I get no we wont replace it we can send it to Lamiglas for 20.00 bucks they take care of this problem. I explain it is new never used, the guys tone "attitude" gets rude. This is the first time I ever had a problem with FWH I never have had this problem with Coyote bait and tackle or Mel Cottons. If they had a replacement they would replace it sense it was never used. Pissed me off.

Don't you just love it when a business cares about their customers?  Thanks for the warning, that's one business I'll never do business with.

Usually that clear hardner will "pop" off with no defect to the eye or the rod.  I do, however understand that this is not your responsability to deal with since it was made that way.

Not every employee has great people skills and they are sometimes constrained by policies from Corporate. NCKA has a long, very positive, history with Fisherman's Warehouse. I could name several FW employees who are awesome. Don't write them off too quickly

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

Who did you speak with?
Don't have to name him publicly, can send me a pm if you prefer. This is not our policy, and I will get this taken care of.
Feel free to call me if needed.

Its not the business that has a problem, sometimes the individuals. Try to reach out to the right people, I'm sure they can sort this out. FW has been generous in supporting our NCKA community in the past years.

Thanks for stepping up Eric!

Nothing wrong with F.W. Just have to deal with the right person. Can't say the same about all businesses, however.

Agree with above replies on the right person or someone new needing coaching, because FW has been great to deal with IMO :smt001

I have never had a problem with FW, I had a different opinion on gear but never a problem.
I have been buying gear at FW for about 17 - 20 years.

Fisherman's ware house is one of my favorite places to shop and I used to spend a lot time there when I was bass fishing at the tournament level plus the other tackle shops here in San Jose. I think it was just the person whom I was talking with. I will give it another attempt before I call in the big gun ( Eric ). But like I said I was just ranting. Don't think I want anyone to not do business with them they have been great to this community we have here NCKA. Plus all the other people in the local fishing world. Like I said this was just a Rant.

I cant speak for all the employees at FW some may be rude or just asses, but just the other day I had a cheap Okuma reel that needed a spring. The guy working the counter told me that they are not allowed to do repairs, it needs to be shipped back to the company, he was a young guy and looked new, just saying what he was told to say. WHile trying to explain to the young buck that I would just trash it before sending it in, can you just find me a similar spring,Ill put it in myself, he says no sorry. But...a familiar face overheard me and came to the rescue, took him a few minutes but he rigged a shimano spring to fix it for me...Yea!!!total cost less than $3. Yes it only lasted for about 4 outings but the effort he put in to fix it was above and beyond!!!!!!!!

The x-11 is a awesome rod, I have the 10'6" version . When I bought it brand new. The eyelet fell out on the tip. I just popped it back in and super glued it .
