Anyone use one? What brand? Does it have an internal battery or not?  How big? Does it really work for you? I'm thinking about getting a inexpensive one to hang on my laptop bag for that off chance won't be near anything that can recharge my work phone.
I'm no stranger to using solar, I've commented  many time when people ask about using solar to charge there FF batteries.  I have 20AMP's (5 panels) of available current into a C30A charge controller at my house to charge a lone 12V marine Deep cycle battery, I power a 12VDC water pump that pumps rain water (lately Creek water) through a 100' hose to water my yard.
I'm curious about these little solar panels and I'm willing to drop $12 on one as a novelty to see how well it may/may not work.
There 5vdc, up to 1.2  and 1.5 whopping watts of glorious solar energy.
Any thoughts?

I've built a few of them to some success I would go with a kit first and see if it fits your need. I used to have one for when me and my girlfriend spent days at Disney land but I decided against them since sun isn't available all the time. I bought a extended battery case for my phone afterward.

Not much juice.  1.2 watts is only about 0.2 amps.  Most wall chargers are 4-5 times that so it will take 4-5 times longer to charge the phone. For my phone that would mean all day.
Might be ok for just making sure you have some charge.

I've tried one of those--sucked. No charge to speak of.
