Hey guys,

This weekend I will be heading to Tahoe for a coed bachelor and while the ladies are out on a booze cruise on Tahoe the guys have a free day. They wanted to fish and just take it easy. I mentioned I had enough kayaks for the guys and we could take them out.  We rented a house about 8 miles from South Shore and a quick search of Google Earth and the largest/closest lake besides Tahoe  is Lower Echo. Does anyone have experience here either fishing or just kayaking? There will be 4 of us, and I'm not sure if the others have ever been out in a Kayak so I was kind of leaning towards a smaller lake than Tahoe and less crowded. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Justin

Tahoe is huge.  Crowding is rarely a problem depending on where you launch from.  But Fallen Leaf lake is also a nice place to paddle.

Thanks for the info. I just watched a bunch of you tube videos of the lake. It looks like a mini Tahoe, beautiful. Looks like I'll be recommending
this to the guys. Now, any tips on fishing gear?

Fallen leaf & echo will both want to pressure wash your boat. Good luck.
