Anyone have one of these laying around??       http://www.gerbergear.com/Outdoor/Knives/Rivermate-Knife_22-41028

It was discontinued but looks like a pretty good knife.

I don't know why those were discontinued. We have had a few of these similar posts of folks looking for them. I'd love one.

A thought to ponder. How can they give a lifetime warranty, if they don't make them any more?

I have a similar Gerber knife but I was disappointed that rust marks appeared on the blade the first day I fished the salt with it on my PFD.  Gerber has not responded to my inquiry.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

They replace it with newer style!

yeah but that is not a true lifetime warranty.

And the other one does?   They did cut the cost of the newer style in half.

Their warranty doesn't cover rust.

Their warranty doesn't cover rust.

Rinse it  with water when you got home from fishing and rub it with a couple drops of cooking oil will prevent it from rusting  :smt001

Had the exact same knife for two years, and liked it.  But it did rust, once I forgot to do it's daily spray of WD40.  I gave one of these a shot, and so far I like it a lot.  Hasn't rusted on me yet, with the same treatment of WD40.  But, I also never use it for anything.  It's job is to stay on my PFD for when I really need it.   http://www.amazon.com/Saturna-Blunt-River-Handle-Stainless/dp/B000FJK1OG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1405134878&sr=8-5&keywords=blunt+dive+knife

Ouch $80!

Unless someone has one for a decent price, I'm gonna go cheap.  Chances are very good I'll lose it at some point.  :smt001

I'm thinking I'll pull the trigger on the knife AlsHobieOutback posted.  In fact I may order two for that price :smt004

If you like cheap, I also got these sunglasses at Amazon.  I swear, for the price, they are the best sunglasses I've gotten for under 100$ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EPNMHO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
