I've been back on the east coast for a wedding and of course the salmon bite started to get hot. Well I'm back now and the bite is really hot. I was going to hop a friend of a friend's boat but I got the word at 6 am that I was squeezed out so I loaded up my Outback and was otw off Noyo by 7. I ran a watermelon dodger and a watermelon hoochie with a chovie on a double deep six. I started trolling past the green can heading north and hung in tighter than the fleet because the word is that the bigger fish have been in shallow feeding. Within 15 minutes I had a nice 34" 18lb chinook in my net. It hit hard and had a really big run. I kept heading north feeling good about life with a nice salmon flopped over the front of my yak. I was def turning a lot of heads from the charter boats. I had my bait ripped once over the next couple of hours and that was it. I started back south, saw a guy loose a fish and zig zagged through were he just was and got hit hard. This one had a pretty decent run but then it turned and came back toward me so I rly had to crank quickly to keep a tight line. Soon I had my second fish in the net, a big 36" 22lb chinook. Both were caught in about 11 fathoms and on 30-40 pulls. I went peddling in with my two dandies laid out on the bow. I felt like I was in a parade by the time I hit the jetty, seems people around here rly appreciate the challenge of salmon from a kayak. This was my first time limiting on salmon. I blew it a few times last year on my rookie year for the species, but hey, thats learning. All in all I was only out about three hours so I have lots of juice left for tomorrow. Its hot all the way down to Albion and everything in between apparently.

You "Slaughtercraft" them bro. Been envious reading all these Fort Bragg reports. Congratulations to you. Must have been some great feeling with all the people around looking at your bounty.
So happy for you.
Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in

Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
