Guns Fishing and Other Stuff coming to Dublin

Anyone been to their vacaville location? It'll be nice to have a store other than a large chain like Dick's to buy stuff here in Dublin, so I'm hoping it's good.

I've had mixed experiences …

some good some bad,  stay away from the old farts,  they have been just mean… the best was I was in there buying stuff for sturgeon, this old Mother F#$#^ comes up and starts to try and school me on what it takes too catch a sturgeon… and being a dick

then I mentioned I was doing from a kayak… He gruffly and laughing says, it can't be done…

My picture with a sturgeon next to my Yak was in that weeks WON,  I picked it up and showed it to him and I had a good laugh… 

he just walked off with murmuring swear words….   

Sadly, the guys I have dealt with at the vacaville store were mostly pricks...  Its a shame because I would love another place to buy gear.

Of the stuff I have gotten there the prices seem to be ok. Some stuff priced the same as walmart.

The Vacaville store SUCKS!!!!!

Biggest group of idiots I have dealt with.  Been twice and will never go back.  I would smile if the place closed forever.

Bad experience overall on my end. Bro in law live in Fairfield visited that place 2x and nothing good to say. But they do have tons of salt stuff.

I live in Vacaville and have been there several times.
I've purchased 3 weapons there, 1 rod, 2 reels, assorted tackle.  The last reel I purchased there this week they filled with P-Line for free.

I don't really talk to the floor sales people much unless I want to know if they stock something or were something is.  I usually know what I want or need before I go there and I get it and leave. 

They are the best stocked store close to me and have been helpful the few times I asked questions about something. 

Who knows how the staff at the new store in Dublin will be?

yea mixed reviews from me too. Kept asking when they were going to re-stock my favorite swim baits and never saw them filled up so found better deal online. Great place to walk around and browse. Overall the younger guys are nice, bought my gun from them. Prices are average.

Been to the Vacaville store a few times and haven't had any problems. Whenever I go shopping for tackle I know what I'm looking for and never ask ?'s. For me I like going to discount bait and tackle in El Cerrito or go to Manteca to fishermans warehouse. What's funny is I have hook, line and sinker and delta bait by me, but they never have what I'm looking for. Haven't been to hook, line and sinker since they have new ownership now. They were pricey on a lot of their stuff. Heard they came down on their ammo and gun prices now. Discount bait And tackle i get a discount on rods and reels 10% off. So far they have the best selection on Cal Star rods and don't charge much for spooling up a newly purchased reel. Bought an Avet mxl 5.8and only $15 to spool with 65# power pro. Castro valley sportsmen charged me $35! For the same amount of power pro on a new avet mxl 5.8 from there.

Everytime I go there which is at least twice a month I've had great service.
I've heard bad reviews from a ton of folks about the place but never me.
Must just be lucky. And they have a nice assortment of stuff.

My review is in regards to firearms only.  I have no idea about their other stuff, but as far as firearms, they are way over priced, lack any basic common knowledge, and are just down right rude idiots.

I forgot to add all my experiene is downstairs. I did go upstairs once and was a little sticker shocked.

I stop there every time I head out 80 and have been treated very well along with fair prices on tackle. Seems like they always have what I am looking for that's the main reason I stop.
 True as some have said not very knowledgeable but I usually know what I want.

I have been there several times and it is by far the best selection around Vallejo, when I am in Sac I always try to stop and buy at fisherman's warehouse .
