Ed, you hit the spot brother, very well said, my first event was Albion, i will never forget that. Like you, I was also member of other fishing clubs, NCKA is beyond compare. Like the pictures too. You should me the guy name Howard..he takes some real nice pictures too

I think the main reason that people who fish from kayaks are so cool (we ARE!) is because coming in to any new relationship within the club we have already shown credentials that say "this person knows how to get it done, be self-sufficient, and be aware of his or her own limits and capabilities".  If you are proficient on your own boat with all your own gear then others recognize that, and it's easier to befriend a person who is obviously not likely going to be a potential drain on your own energy and resources.

That's a little cut and dried and too over-analyzed, so I'll say this:  people in this club kick ass.  They kick ass!  I can tell you're one of them, Ed.  Hope to shake your hand at Albion, and maybe we'll get to fish together too.
