where to get shoepeg corn for kokanee?

looking for a market that sells shoepeg corn for kokanee.. went to a couple place but they only had the normal corn. Does it matter what corn to use for kokes? what does everyone use? Thanks

just caught one yesterday with just a hootchie at bowman, wanna stock up for next time to see if the corn makes a big difference.

Got mine at safeway.

The only reason I say big lots is usually they're $.25 - $.50 a can.  Cheaper than other stores if you can find them in stock.

Yes, it makes a diference..just get it. One kernel for every hook point.

NO, and it is illegal to use anything other than shoepeg

Not quite.  Shoepeg is a little more narrow than regular corn.  I generally only use shoepeg but I don't know if there would be an actual difference.  Shoepeg I guess is more often used because it doesn't affect drag in the water as much and the action of the lure.
