Hello NCKA from Vacaville, CA.

I just bought my Hobie Outback in May and I discovered this forum the same week.
I'm impressed with the emphasis on safety in this forum  Reminds my of a BMW motorcycle forum I've belonged to for a long time.

So I've read through about the last 6 - 9 months worth of posts, mostly on safety items, newby questions and gearing up.
I've fished the Outback in several lakes including Lafayette, San Pablo, Lake Davis, Lett's Lake and Baum Lake.  I've taken limits of
stocker rainbows on each outing.

I've gone on a shopping spree getting all my gear together for an ocean outing.
I should have my Kokatat dry suit in this week along with a few other odd and ends to be prepared for that first blue water outing.

I want to get out there and get some Rock Cod, Lings, Butts, I'm ready. I just can't go alone.  I need someone willing to drag a total ocean newby out on the water.

Hopefully the weather cooperates for the 4th weekend.

Welcome Ghan!

Look for hook-ups but maybe before that sign up for an ocean safety class.

Way to go Ghan on emphasizing on being prepared and safety subject. Keep your eye out for hookups. A lot of members wouldn't mind taking a newbie out. As long as you know your limitation, you should be good. Oh, and welcome to the board.

Welcome from one Vacan to another. I've done a couple crab trips but I'm looking forward to my first ocean salmon or rockfish trip soon. Take a look at the Albion event that is comming up. Sounds like it might be an easy place to start.
