The body of water is a go. jbaker and the rest of us have enough boats to do a dozen or so guys. I'm sure we can produce enough food for a swell breakfast and lunch. jbaker has rescue certs too right?

The weather should hopefully cool down here soon to make it comfortable (still triple digits on and off)

I guess we need a date and about 12 dedicated paddlers? Then roll the spiel out at the V.A.?

Jesse, which place was approved?

I can help, have two kayaks if needed, time changes Nov 2, can we go for Saturday Nov 1, more daylight just in case we need time for clean up or day goes long? 8th or 15th is okay with me also but after that runs into the week of Thanksgiving.

If I am available I will drive up to help. Get a date out as soon as you get going and I can plan around it.

Whiskeytown in November is going to be a very tough bite.  Any thoughts of contacting Silverthorn on Shasta to see if they would host?  Spotted bass w/ minnows would get everybody on the fish.

Kind of scrambling right now. We have to start our own chapter for this to happen. By next week we should have the info to be able to finally make it work.

In the meantime, who is dedicated to helping this first run? Also, who would be able to be a little more dedicated than that? I'll have more info on chapter positions next week as well.

Bryan, the pond aside highway 44 with the round house on stilts is private, has a shallow ramp, a barbecue/picnic area, ample parking and is less than 3 miles from the VA. We have permission to host there.

I'm in for the first run ( date pending ) the LRC 2014 is  11/15 so keep that in mind. As for the future that would depend on my ( unknown schedule ) but will always be willing to help where I can.

I'm in for helping out where I can. I can usually get time off if I have enough time in advance to schedule it. Let me know what I can help with.

I don't know about up there, but down here the different groups prefer weekdays. I think it is because of therapists and admin people having weekends off. Also, I think the  guys have weekends with family too. That is why we usually do Fridays. Don can shed better light on this.

Does anyone have a contact at Shea Sand and Gravel ? They used to let the fly tying club
host a few fishing trip out there, hell I don't know if they still have fish, but would defiantly
be private. Ross pond would also be a great spot.

So I just sent Mike Suyderhoud a email about Ross's Pond, way back in the day he used it for his
water ski school. Hopefully he can point us in the right direction to get access to it, if that is still his email !!!!!
