I started with a sport, great for freshwater.  However, on the ocean here in CA, a little shaky.  OK on calm days.  What are your planned uses?

right here in captola/santa cruz area.... got a stealth 9 malibu kayak and works fine but want something i can peddle around.... i live around pleasure point so i can carry it up and down the stairs.... so want something that is around the same size...

Maybe try expanding your search to include a revo 11. A lot better of a boat IMHO. Faster, more room and the same weight. it's easier for me to pick up and carry a revo 11 than the sport because of the width. I pick up and move our revo 11's around the shop all the time by my self but the sport takes two of us. Revo 11 is also a lot more comfortable.

so i can carry it up and down the stairs.... i live one block from pleasure point.... so i roll my malibu stealth 9 to the stairs and carry it down and when i come back in i carry it back up.... easy as that so i want a hobie sport so i can do the same with it  :smt001 my shoulder is going bad and need something i can pedal with my feet but also need something i can carry up the stairs myself..... thx
