Just made it back from Shelter Cove, camped at Tolkan Campsite, about 8 miles up the road. Spent 6 days, wind blew like hell. On about Saturday, one mile short of the campsite, I stopped and collected wood in my Dodge Caravan...leaving the rear hatch open.

COULD NOT FIND MY NEW $450.00 YAZBECK WETSUIT BACK AT THE CAMPSITE!!!   WTF! I asked around and two different groups saw my suit in an old bag on the road and thought it was trash! My suit rolled out! I went back and it was....gone. Holy f##k!

I made three "LOST" signs and posted on Kings Peak Rd and at the grocery store two miles  short of town. Left early for home this morning, no messages on my phone.  SH#T!!!.  Spent the day cleaning up and...the phone rings....a 707 #.   THE DUDE FOUND MY SUIT! He lives in Shelter Cove. He wants no reward! Can you dig that!

And now the fishing report. Only fished two days, about 6 or 7 hours total. Trolled for salmon out front for zero, then switched to swim baits for lings. Scored 5 small ones to about 25 inches. Ran into a couple guys sailing a Adventurer and they scored some blacks and greenlings.

Was too beat up from mt. bike riding (and crashing) to fish and dive hard with the lame weather. My first time back in about 36 years, an awesome spot, Ron

Yeah,,, I get that when I watch that show " What would you do".

My black wetsuit got dumped in the middle of Hwy 1... late one dark night.     I wonder how many people swerved to avoid it ?    :smt044
I found it a few hours later, not a tire mark on it.

Cool about your suit.

Did you ride Paradise Royal?  I heard that's an awesome run.

I think I just saw your post on MTBR.  Hope you had fun riding Paradise Royale. I've only ridden it once and thought it was great.  Are you going to Albion?  I'm bringing my bike and trying to hookup w/anyone w/trail beta. After Albion we're gonna keep headin north, maybe to Paradise Royale, and eventually to central OR. Good karma on your wetsuit, Jah protects thy.

Glad someone found and called you about the wetsuit.  Thanks for the SC report Ron.

Yep, I rode Paradise twice and rode the small park, along with a few crashes. The 14 mile loop is just right for my skills. I will check out Albion and do a kayak/dive/fish/mt. bike/surf/IPA/road bike ride.  What am I forgetting?  Ron

When you're in Albion, if you need a trail guide, let me know.  I know some good ones around here....and 15 miles is my skill level too.

This guy wanted to mail my suit to me when I told him I lived 5 hours away! Now I will hook up with him and his wife in Half Moon Bay this next week when they are on vacation. What an excellent person. I will try to match his ethics/scruples in the future. Do the right thing! Ron
