Just signed up. Have no chance to win anything. Just wanna come down to see old friends and meet new ones

I was just down at Anglers Choice in Capitola (on 41st Ave) and Julia wanted me to pass along that she says 'Hello' to everyone who frequents the store.  Very nice husband/wife team that owns & operates the store.  Good rod & reel selection.  GREAT selection of individual Big Hammer swim baits in a variety of sizes/colors as well as B-2 squid in 3" & 9" I believe.  Fly fishing gear too!  Boxes, nets, gaffs & bonkers too....

She says a number of NCKA members have been in the past few days to gear up for the tourney!

BigJim ... she says you're spending too much time freediving and not enough time fishing with a rod & reel!   He words ... not mine!

I'll be by there on Saturday to say hi and stock up so Valentina and I can win it all on Sunday.

An interesting thing happened today at the Kayak Connection shop.  I went in there to register and sign my waiver.  While there, I asked the nice lady if Allen (Bushy) had been around.  She said "yes" and that he was competing in this tournament.  The other lady exclaimed, "he is? That almost doesn't seem fair!"  (!)   

Looking forward to it...

He must need a new kayak.

just realized this is my first derby without Nathan as my wingman.  He was the one who talked me into the first mbk tourney.  Oh and I was walking on the bridge over the harbor this morning and saw a school of salmon swimming around.  I assume some must be outside as well.

If I win, the Predator goes to #2.   heehe I WILtake a WErner paddle, though.  Never had one yet.

But, I don't have much of a track record with derbies......just want to fish this one, for once.

but joking aside this is going to be very fun and we cant wait to see folks and meet new folks.....very excited here at our house
