I'm thinking of doing some exploring of Tomales Point and Lawson's Landing looks like the closest access. What's the deal with that place? Is there a day-use parking area? How safe are cars there? It looks a little sketchy...
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

its a pretty safe place to park. I'm most likely going up this weekend to go clamming. They usually open their gates around 6 am for day use. It's $8 for day use and sometimes the lady will charge you $3 for launching your kayak. I think if you want to fish inside tomales more you can always go and launch at miller's
