I was just there!

I was looking into doing some deep sea fishing excursion. Feel free to update me on recommendations as I will be there again in a couple of months.

Where are you staying in a couple of months? The area I mentioned is pretty large.

You are the photographer right? Doing a wedding or something?
Dreams is on the corridor closer to San Jose.

So you would probably get a panga out of the Palmilla resort or in San Jose La Playita where the new marina is located.

I had to Google Villa Bellisima. Very sweet private residence in the Pedregal. The roosterfish bite should be hot off the beach on the Pacific side where this property faces if you have access. I fished this stretch of beach many times. Let me know if you are interested and I can PM you contact info for fishing off the shore with a guide or on a panga / cruiser out of Cabo San Lucas.

I'm headed to San Jose in October with the family.  We have a trip booked with renegade mike. Last year we caught 12 do do's and 7 football yft, just a couple miles out of the arches. Can't wait to do it again.  It will be my 8 year old sons first time fishing down south.

Hope the albacore show up soon up here so my son can get some preactice in.

Allan, you should check out Hidden Worlds and or  Puerto Aventuras if you get a chance http://www.puertoaventuras.com/activities/fishing.html

These are excellent maps and are very detailed http://www.cancunmap.com/playadelcarmen-map.html

Won't be there during the dates you mentioned, but will be in the East Cape 7/27-31 at Rancho Leonero, which is a small fishing resort on the beach just south of Los Barilles that also offers kayaks for off the beach fishing, and sometimes blue water kayak fishing. Roosters, dorado or even sails on a kayak? Killer stuff! I go there about 4x year. Hidden gem.

Are you going to try for a Mermaid?  :). Have fun Antonio!  One of these days I'll make it back down there.

I was in Los Barrillas in October 2008. I got a few small Mahi Mahi a 120 pound sailfish and a 100 pound tuna in three days fishing. Next time I may just want to try and do some snapper fishing.
I love how remote it is back there and will do it again someday. The Van Wormer resorts are okay and so is the "Ranch."

Cabo San Jose is a blast also and is away from the crowed. Just watch out as you exit the airport and just say "no" to everybody as you exit. It is a shark tank with all the timeshare sales.

If you do a search here you can find a few reports from some of us that have been down to The Ranch.

I'd suggest going with a guide. Not sure if Sean White still guides down there, but he is the man when it comes to guides...not to mention a local NCKA member.

With a guided trip you get panga mothership support and live bait. Just typing this is making me want to go next year...
