California Canoe and Kayak (CCK) will be hosting their annual Paddlefest event on 21-22 June 2014 at Lake Natoma, CA.  Saturday (6/21) is focused on kayaks/canoes/SUPs, while Sunday (6/22) is focused on SUPs.  Event runs from 10-3 and cost is $10 that allows you to demo as many kayaks as you want all day.

They'll have all of their Hobie, Jackson, Feel Free fishing kayaks available for demo with reps and anglers available to provide info.  Great chance to compare various Hobie models (Outback, Revo, PAs, Adventure, AI) back-to-back if you are considering a Hobie.  There will be a few NCKAers around to help out, we'll have a few rigged fishing kayaks and might do an Intro to Kayak Fishing seminar if there is interest.

Event will be held at the Nimbus Flat State Recreation Area accessed off of Hazel Ave, just south of the dam near the Aquatic Center. It's a fun day and nice setting for a family picnic with biking, hiking and swimming in addition to the Paddlefest event.  I think parking is $8-$10 or so.

Sounds like a fun day... :smt004
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Parking is ten dollars.  If you have a California State Park pass it should work here.

Bump - Event is this coming Saturday.  James/Rider, Marcos/Rockroach and I will be helping with Demoes. Stop and say hello to us if you attend.

Again, this is a great opportunity to demo many models of Hobies, Jacksons, and Feel Free fishing kayaks for both new and experienced folks alike.

Nope, I have not heard anything along those lines.  I went last year and it's a very popular event in the broader kayak community. Where did you hear that?

The event was never cancelled and is still on, sounds like a mix-up via Rider's facebook change.
