New Guy from San Jose

 

Hello, everyone! I'm from San Jose. Been fishing since childhood. I do a lot of surf fishing and crab snaring out of Half Moon Bay, as well as boat fishing out of Capitola [capitolaboatandbait.com]. Once in a while, I'll hit-up the charter boats down in LA, going after rockfish and yellowtail.

I currently do not own a kayak - I'm planning on it - most likely a Hobie Outback. Right now, Capitola rentals is the way I get out on open water.

Hopefully when I get my kayak, I'll get to meet-up with other kayak fisherman and hit the local waters for some awesome fishing runs.

My buddy next to me bagged his 10lber off a sliver of squid... he was rigged only for rockcod. lol

Welcome! I'm new and from san jose as well. When you get a kayak lets meet up in Capitola, that is my usual spot as well!

Awesome, I'm down! The fishing at Capitola is pretty good so far - a lot of ling's being landed. I'm still waiting on bagging my first halibut and stripper of the year. The strippers are being landed along the beaches right now.
