Better yet, how about a PFD fishing derby. Become one with the water.

Ive done the pfd thing before, at lake sonoma.   very difficult to cast accurately and with any range, and forget about site fishing.   Id still be in though.

There's always yak-polo using any floating ball and your paddles as mallets. The trick is to have everyone wear a PFD, then open all kayak hatches. Each team tries to fill their opponents boats to reduce the mobility. When a yak finally tips over, that player is out!

i took my buddy camping at Henry Coe Park to Mississippi Lake and he fished all weekend on a "king cool pool lounge chair" because the sports store didn't have any inflatable turtles.

I think the air mattress idea is great. How about one just before the end of rockfish season, out of Bean Hollow ;) ;)
