Need to replace my ff on my Outback. I friend is selling his Raymarine Dragonfly for $250. Still a lot, but they retail for $600. It's a KILLER unit, but I'm wondering about the transducer compatibility/mounting for a Hobie. Any feedback is appreciated.

I know at least one person on here who mounted a Dragonfly on a Hobie.  Now sure how he worked with the transducer since they are fairly large compared to other transducers.  Mel ... where you at?  Shed some light on this.

That price is a steal.  Been using mine for 3 months now.  The screen is bigger and brighter (5.75 inches) than my last 5 inch color FF.

I've used it in both SW and FW.  Trolling for trout.  Looking for structure for Lings and schools of Rockfish and crabbing for Dungies.
I did a water bath install inside my Revo.  CHIRP is the the way to go if you're getting a new unit.  I hear Lowrance has CHRIP too.

Mounted on the sail mast hole, all RAM products.  1/2 inch ball.

I used the standard version of this I had just by very slightly opening up 2 of the holes.
