Ahh man, I'd love to go! But that is the beginning of my fireworks season, I'll be in San Diego shootin' a show . . .

Back to beer, I tried this one while out on the Cape last week, decent IPA from MA
John, you shoot fireworks for a living?

No, it's not my full-time job, I do a few events throughout the year and then cram a bunch in around Independence Week.

But really, we prefer the term Pyrotechnician as there is less ahem stigma.  :smt003

DEFINITELY bring your bow.
I've been Jonesin' to do a riverboard trip. I've been checking it out a lot lately (most recently just this past Saturday) and I'm not going.
As far as the river is concerned, it's friggin' PACKED with kayaks and rafts and tubers EVERYWHERE with fairly low water flows to boot.
Waiting for late fall or early winter when (if) we get some rains.
If the water was a little higher and faster I'd consider it, but with it so low is just a cluster bomb.
On second thought, I'll check out a spot to see if we can surf it with the river boards. One vehicle is all we need and wouldn't have to worry too much about raft traffic.
I'll get back to ya on that.

I might be able to make it. If I do, I can be a designated driver sherpa, as needed. Sounds interesting to click pics of anyone hoisting beer from each and every vendor.  :beer3

Should I bring my PFD for the mud wrestling with the babes?  :smt044 :smt044 :smt005

That would be awesome.

Be real careful leaving that event.  The cops in Placerville will stop you for anything they can.  Some of them drive around with those big state trooper hats trying to look tough.  I worked on Main Street for 5 years and got to know everyone real good, including the cops.  It is a great festival if you like beer.  Just watch out as you leave, they will be waiting for anyone doing any tiny little thing wrong to pull you over.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!
