Hi Everyone, I've been lurking around here for a while and thought I would post up.  I have been fishing my whole life but just picked up my first kayak last year (Trident 11).  I mostly fish the silicon valley lakes for bass, but also frequented the Capitola Kelp beds last summer in the Yak.  Hope to get involved and meet some fellow kayak anglers.

Thanks for the Welcomes.

I will be heading up to Arnold this weekend and will be bringing the Yak to fish New Melones on Saturday.  Hoping to get into some bass, and maybe trolling around for trout when moving from spot to spot

Tom,

If in Arnold this weekend, also try White pines in your kayak of head up hill to Spicer or Alpine. Melones might be a bit crowded, but I haven't been living up there in years.

Have a blast this weekend, welcome to the best kayak organization I know and stay safe

Thanks for all the welcomes.  I didn't even think about the crowds at melones for the holiday weekend.  I will be staying up there until Tuesday So I may wait to hit melones until then after the crowds leave.  Looking forward to casting a fly rod on the alpine/upper Stanislaus as well.
