Yep the parking lot at the small park has a gate I think it will be locked till 7 am. but I'm not sure about that. Make sure you bring wheels if you have them. Get there before the tourist, Oh wait you are a tourist!
  

For us possible first timers, can someone explain where the launch is so I can... 1) See where it is to go scout it this weekend, and 2) Start panning my "day of" route/hike?

Using Google Earth, and I think I found it, but if someone can let me know which hotel it is by, or north or south end etc.

It costs $40 to enter before 9/1. Then 50 bucks to enter after 9/1?! Or 100 bucks to enter after 9/19?! That's crazy talk unless it includes camping. Does it at least include a shirt?

The shirts are an option durning registration. Price hike is caused by the city of cambria they are inforcing on Rhyak extremely hard this year. Its insane to say the least. To play the game you have to play by their rules.

Oh and the state of caligornia lol

my crew will not know till 2 weeks before so extra $$ for them 

I recomend a saturday night also if you can swing it. The after party/potluck is awesome to

ok good looking out...I was gonna dip because I heard there was no water...way to clean up etc

I guess a gallon jug and wash rag will take care of those detials

Reserving a camp site only insures u get a site. Numbers are issues at the ranger check in.
