Because they are currently the best car top tents on the market! Cant beat the quality and the stand behind there product. They actually keep a good supply of all parts on hand at there store/warehouse.

Hahaha!  The Jeep and Trailer actually are kept in the garage! Only the RV sits in front of the house; and most of them don't mind, there are a bunch of rv/trailers around the neighborhood...

I would be interested in a tent setup on the bed of the truck. The Hullavators preclude the roof option.

He could custom make it so it will be right above your tonneau cover and the top of the tent (when closed) will still be below your roof line; so it won't interfere with the any kayaks on your roof rack or impair your gas mileage.

When are you leaving for GS8? Maybe we can do a little detour and swing by his shop for him to take a look-see at your truck…. and we can also talk to him about prices on tents too…..

Martin, I had a pre GS sample this past friday.

Glen I can't wait to see the tent. I want to do something with the truck. Maybe you can give me some ideas.

 

  I can't recall the manufacturer now, but 20+ years ago someone made a cartopper similar and a few guys in my 4X4 club back then had them.  One was mounted to an old willis trailer ( The old 1/4ton jeep trailer).  Should be super comfortable for you.
