Howdy all,

I have a few hours to kill after dropping my wife off at a half day retreat in Santa Rosa.  I am wondering if anyone's fishing out of Bodega Bay or thereabout.  I am thinking of launching from Doran Park and try for some butts, but I am open to suggestions.

What are the reports from Bodega? Are halibut being caught in Bodega Bay? What's the marine forecast?

Dont know the forecast, but when its big, you can launch in the harbor and fish. Its nice and easy AND the buts come in lookin and feeding on the many baitfish. Watch for the landlord at seal rock, tell him I said hi if you see him.

You mean Bodega Rock right? With all the Seals and Sea Lions on it so you can hear (and smell downwind) a long way away from it? But that's out at the edge of the Bay not the Harbor. I alwasy launched from Doran Park Beach, never launched in the Harbor but no big rock in there I have seen.
