D'OH!
I thought it was on the 12th...bummer. My wife usually works til 8 on Tuesday nights. So I will probably have the kids with me. In which case, not only am I bringing folding chairs...but I also be packin' Capri Suns and string cheese hahaha

Sounds great, but I'm not sure I can make the drive down there just for the instruction.

I am having some problems with my Lowrance Mark 4... Sonar signal seems to cut in and out... Need to troubleshoot.

Check for corrosion on the transducer/power plug or the head unit.  Make sure you are getting good connection.  Look for a bent/broken pin or a crushed/broken little socket inside the plug.  I will hopefully be doing another seminar up in Stockton on the 24th of this month too.

Sound like an informative evening with a lively crowd, the kayak shack after hours! Im in.

Always make sure you put dielectric grease on all electrical connectors. The salt will eat them up quick but if you stay on it they'll last a long time.
I'll be at GS walking around giving out some screen wipes and grease'n up some Lowrances.

I was just at West Marine and they have the Elite 5 HDI on sale for $399 (w/out transducer).

I'll bring a large tube of grease to the seminar on Tuesday if you want to bring your head unit to have it "lubed" up.

My connections are greased and look nice n' clean. I think my issue may be transducer Goop related... We shall see.

Towards the end of the seminar, I'd love to open it up to a general discussion from others regarding how THEY mount THEIR transducers.

Last call for "subject matter".  Here I sit for the rest of the day preparing the presenation for Tuesday night!
