Ricci, thank you and your family for putting that wonderful event together.  My daughter and I enjoyed the the good times and especially the food.  Please thank your dad for the oysters. 

Next time I'll have to make a point to bring my girls and go for the bass again.

Thanks Ricci and Crew for hosting the best Slam yet.
It was cool to meet some new NCKA'ers and catch up with old friends.
Our Uke/music jam was small but rocked til 10pm(sorry campers )

Tourney day was pretty darn cool too, I launched a little late, as usual, and puttered around with the fly rod.
Around 9:30 I started picking up a few small fish, then around 10:00 I started to stick some nice bass including a PB smallie.
The biggest fishes went for a black Wooly Bugger with a purple tail, although some smaller fish hit a straight black Wooly Bugger and a downsized white and purple Clouser. I really love battling a decent bass on the fly rod - the direct handling of the line and long flexy fly rod just feel good with a hard fighter on the hook. Ended up catching 8 bass - all on fly.

Fished with Randy-Salmon1 for a bit, watched him nail a couple nice smallies, then rockfish and iroelike that paddled in to share the cove's bounty.

About 11am I decided to start trolling for salmonids, put on a 3way-flasher-apex combo and promptly lost a fish after only 5 mins of trolling. Saw Naoaki and trolled a bit with him for a bit, then witnessed Jedmo's snag turn into a 23" LMB!

After going through my pics today I discovered that I neglected to weigh in a 16.5" bass, D'OH!!!!

After the tourney I went back out into a stiff wind to see if there was any action in the coves and was rewarded with a fat Red Ear sunfish that battled me HARD, it hit a jointed shad rap then proceeded to spine me during it's portrait session.

Potlucks were awesome as usual, and the camping, although spread out a bit was great, with a million dollar view of the lake.

Glad to hear that everyone had a great time and that the weather cooperated on Sunday. I've in Napa so it was cool to see all of the kayaks atop trucks and campers headed through town and up 121 toward the lake over the weekend.

Next year, I'm in. 

Just got done cleaning everything up and settled back in....I'm tired fellas but very happy to say that I and  everyone had a good time. I'll post the Official Results and some pics 2maro. Big Congrats to Nixster!
